Englishman and NYC resident, Alexander Love has been recognized for his strikingly chic filmmaking and photography that focuses on luxury and beauty. He has an ability to adapt his lyrical style to different genres from quirky dark stories to outright pop, in the studio, and on location.
From the age of twelve when his father taught him B/W film processing and print development in the darkroom, Love knew he wanted to craft compelling images. He maintained this focus through high school and then completed his degree in Film & Photographic Arts at the University of Westminster in London, England.
Kick-starting his career, Love’s first commercial project was a music video for Portishead with ‘Sour Times’, launching his directorial debut in London. He went on to launch many recording artists’ careers. Since then his work has taken him across the globe working with international artists, shooting stills, music videos, commercials, and branded films in the USA, Jamaica, Nevis, Italy, Spain, France, Romania and Thailand, Korea, and Hong Kong.
