Hi, I’m Jen. I’m a Children’s Portrait Photographer here in Los Angeles. I am self-taught and have no professional training, just a love for photography. I am, however, constantly learning new techniques and frequently attend newborn workshops to ensure the baby’s safety comes first when setting up advanced poses. I also have a background in Business Administration and prior to pursuing photography full time, I oversaw the operations of 22 retail stores and worked as a Human Resource Manager.
Here’s my story:
When I was around 10, I borrowed my brother’s Canon AE1 35mm Camera with a zoom lens and taught myself how to use it by trial and error (back in the film developing days). I was obsessed with the Academy Awards, Film, and Actors. I wanted to photograph them. As a “tween”, I would have access to all the major Hollywood parties and award shows (sometimes by sneaking in). This sparked up my passion for photography. With a lot of patience and determination, I was able to teach myself how to operate the camera in manual mode and use flash.
In 2007, my passion as a Celebrity Photographer was taken to another level (an actual career), selling thousands of photos and being published in magazines around the world. I worked with several agencies that distributed my photos worldwide.
