Hi there, I am Oriana von Specht, the photographer behind Purple Squid Photography.

As a commercial photographer, I help you win new and retain existing customers. We create authentic and engaging images that help you grow an emotional bond and earn the loyalty of your target audience.

Originally from Germany, I pursued photography part-time while earning a master’s degree in genetics and working with major healthcare brands in advertising agencies in Frankfurt, Germany, and San Francisco, CA. The experiences of strategizing with international clients, tailoring the creative artwork to their goals, and message taught me how to do the same for you.

When not shooting, planning, laughing with clients, you’ll catch me kayaking with my family on lakes and bays all over the West while dreaming of Black Forest cake and that perfectly lively latte.

I am very grateful to be able to live my passion as a photographer whether taking images of the natural world or the people and places that make your business unique. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s create the engaging, authentic visuals your business needs!

Can’t wait to meet you,
